The pub is undergoing a refurbishment over the next few weeks, and we'll be back open on Saturday 1st August. Visit the Tufted Duck (formerly the Akeman) and you'll find a newly renovated Victorian building, designed by local architect William Huckvale in 1901. Original features like the fireplace in the bar have been senstively restored and sit alongside a fresh, contemporary look. The name comes from local wildlife - Tufted Ducks are found on the nearby reservoirs and feature in the collection at the Tring Natural History Museum.
