Swan Lake Gardens

Swan Lake Gardens is situated just outside the suburbs of Port Elizabeth in the Theescombe area. This unique property hosts one of the most elegant and established gardens in Port Elizabeth, and the creative layout is the work of the artist and owner, Marius Lourens. It accommodates a large variety of plants and trees, including palms, cycads, bromeliads and a unique clivia collection. Many of these plants and trees have been part of the garden for many years. Various walkways interspersed with ponds and home to different species of swans and exotic waterfowl, create secrecy and surprise. The open lawns provide a perfect setting for reception drinks and canapes. Our Bush Chapel provides an elegantly natural setting for wedding ceremonies. In case of rainy weather, couples have the choice of a peg and pole tent on the vast lawn.
