The George & Dragon

London, London, United Kingdom

Pub
Previous Next Greenwich is best known for its maritime history and for giving its name to the Greenwich Meridian (0° longitude) and Greenwich Mean Time. It’s a popular spot for tourists, mainly due to Greenwich Park (where you can stand “legs astride the meridian”) and the Cutty Sark, a clipper ship that has been preserved in a dry dock by the river. The town centre of Greenwich is dominated by Georgian and Victorian architecture, and stuffed full of great restaurant choices from major chains to boutique bistros. There has been a market at Greenwich since the 14th century, trading five days a week (closed Monday & Tuesday).
